Extensions is the name I have chosen for paintings derived from Photoshop sketches. Post digital painting would perhaps be a more accurate description, but a little verbose for a navigation bar. Because of the great number of digital sketches produced since 2013 (over 800), it is obviously not possible to make paintings from all of them. I have therefore chosen examples across the various series, for convenience of size and contrast of theme and treatment. The selection effectively forms a new series, suggesting links across theme and treatment which interest me. The first of these I have simply named SAMPLER – 01. I have no fixed number of paintings in mind for each set of extensions. The ENCRYPTION PAINTINGS (2014) suggest a guide for a modest exhibition.
